Ready Made Word Guess

A simple GameMaker template project to help you learn how to make a word guessing game like Wordle (and other similar titles).

Shows you how to grab a random five letter word from a list and display the player's guesses with different colors to help them crack the puzzle.

The logic used in the template could be used to create a similar guessing game that doesn't even use words - it could be numbers, or sprites, or anything!

This code is 100% free for commercial use in your games, either as a whole game on its own or as a smaller minigame in a bigger project. Enjoy!

Made & tested in GameMaker 2024.11.0.179, you should run the project only in this version or higher.
